Pooraka Air Conditioning is the air conditioning team local households call first. We are a family-owned Adelaide business with ten years on the tools, working across Pooraka and Greater Adelaide.

A decade is long enough to know how these houses are built. Pooraka runs mostly to single-storey brick and brick-veneer detached homes from the post-war Trust era, with infill continuing through the 1970s and 1980s.
What that means for your system. Older brick homes hold heat differently to newer infill, so sizing gets done per house. And because most households here own their place, the repair-versus-replace call matters. We tell you plainly when a fix is worth it and when the money is better spent on a new split system.
Aircon Work Under a Full ARC Licence
Refrigerant handling is licensed work in Australia, and we hold ARC Licence L162586, the RAC01 - Full Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Licence. That covers installation, service, decommissioning and refrigerant handling, the strongest classification going.
It also means insurance and accountability sit behind every job. Ask for the licence number when you call; we are happy to give it.

Cooling and Heating Services We Carry Out
Our regular run covers the full life of a system:
- Air conditioning installation: split, ducted and evaporative units sized and fitted to the house.
- Air conditioning repairs: faults diagnosed honestly, including error codes and warm air.
- Air conditioning replacement: legal decommissioning of old units and clean changeovers.
- Air conditioning cleaning: filters, coils, ducts and pre-summer evaporative start-up.
On the refrigerated side we work with Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu and ActronAir. Ducted gas heating covers the cold months.
Evaporative Cooling, a Different System Entirely
Evaporative cooling is not a refrigerated system and carries none of the brands above. It cools with water and moving air rather than refrigerant, needs windows open to work, and Adelaide's dry summers are exactly what it suits. We service it separately, including pads, water feed and pre-summer start-up.
